Ranunculus has been on our to-knit list for a long time and wow, we are over the moon! The sweater is so beautiful in person. It is hard to capture the pretty details and the subtle nuances of the fabric on camera. Hopefully, you will take our word for it!
This sweater is knit top-down. Across the collarbone and chest there are lace and textured stitches designed to resemble a necklace.
Our version of the Ranunculus is knit by holding together a strand of Wild Bloom with Frond, resulting in an incredibly lightweight and soft sweater. There are a number of options Midori Hirose includes in the pattern, here is what we chose:
Smaller neckline
Long sleeves (without diagonal cuff)
This bundle includes enough yarn to knit the sweater as modeled. So if you want a shorter sleeve and / or larger neckline options given in the pattern you are covered.
Please note: Our sleeves are knit to the same spec as outlined in the pattern, though come to a 3/4 length on Kristine. If you would like a longer sleeve or longer body, please consider purchasing more yarn. (There was enough yarn left for 52.75" to knit a longer sleeve.)
Ease: Kristine is modeling the sweater and her full chest circumference is 38". Our sample is a size 52.75".
